Title: Sweet Peril

Author: Wendy Higgins

Expected Release Date: April 30th 2013

Publisher: HarperTeen

Anna Whitt, daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a claim. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

Other Book Covers:

Sweet Evil

Wow! That is one gorgeous, hawt cover! I really love how they kept Anna and Kaidan as the focus and played off of them. The red, smoky background gives you this chilling feeling and draws you in wonder. And, I like how her dress went from red to black like it got tainted. A hand of applause to this cover designer! Great job!

Other Book Covers:

Something Strange and Deadly

OH. MY. GOODNESS. That is undeniably gorgeous! AHH!! I’m in love! JUST LOOK!!! I. Am. Officially. Obsessed. Yeah, I know I’m fangirling like over-obsessedly, but LOOK! Personally, I am head over heels in love with this cover and totally prefer it to the first one. I love how this cover still has the old-fashioned dress, but it’s in COLOR! And, not just any color… Purple and… BLUE! YES! SOLD! And, I like how her head is tilted to the side this time as if she’s looking at something. And, I think the clock in the background works wonderfully. The whole cover has a touch of steampunk and elegance which I love!! Plus, it just emanates mystery and darkness! Seriously, another WIN for HarperTeen!

Title: Goddess

Author: Josephine Angelini

Expected Release Date: May 28th 2013

Publisher: HarperTeen

After accidentally unleashing the gods from their captivity on Olympus, Helen must find a way to re-imprison them without starting a devastating war. But the gods are angry, and their thirst for blood already has a body count.

To make matters worse, the Oracle reveals that a diabolical Tyrant is lurking among them, which drives a wedge between the once-solid group of friends. As the gods use the Scions against one another, Lucas’s life hangs in the balance. Still unsure whether she loves him or Orion, Helen is forced to make a terrifying decision, for war is coming to her shores.

In Josephine Angelini’s compelling conclusion to the masterfully woven Starcrossed trilogy, a goddess must rise above it all to change a destiny that’s been written in the stars. With worlds built just as fast as they crumble, love and war collide in an all-out battle that will leave no question unanswered and no heart untouched.

Other Book Covers:

Starcrossed Dreamless

HarperTeen is on a roll!! Another marvelous, stunning cover! It might possibly be my favorite cover in the series! First, I must comment on the dazzling color scheme: a beautiful blue, to a calm turquoise, to a bright chaotic purple! Goodness, it’s just lovely! The colors just work so wonderfully together and give off this very powerful, calming, mysterious vibe. I feel like it screams calm and destructive at the same time. And, I like how the girl is reaching up in the air as if she almost has her goal/dream in grasp. Really an oustanding cover!

Title: After Daybreak

Author: J.A. London

Expected Release Date: June 25th 2013

Publisher: HarperTeen

ining breathless romance, dark family secrets, and cinematic action, After Daybreak will keep readers turning pages late into the night. The Darkness Before Dawn series is a unique blend of paranormal and dystopian fiction that is perfect for fans of Christopher Pike’s Thirst novels and the House of Night series.

Dawn returns from L.A. with terrifying news: In his greed for power, the maniacal Day Walker Sin is raising an army and infecting his followers with the Thirst—a rabieslike disease that will turn them into mindless killers. To stop him, Dawn and Victor will have to convince humans and vampires to work together before it’s too late.

Other Book Covers:

Darkness Before Dawn Blood-Kissed Sky

I’m not the biggest fan of this cover. I do like how the black dress is kept from the previous covers, but I’m not loving the color scheme. It reminds me of the desert and hard times. I have a feeling that Dawn and Victor have a lot ahead of them. I really enjoy the books, but not the biggest fan of their covers.

Title: Towering

Author: Alex Finn

Expected Release Date: April 24th 2013

Publisher: HarperTeen

At first, I merely saw his face, his hands on the window ledge. Then, his whole body as he swung himself through the window. Only I could not see what he swung on.
Until, one day, I told my dream self to look down. And it was then that I saw. He had climbed on a rope. I knew without asking that the rope had been one of my own tying.

Rachel is trapped in a tower, held hostage by a woman she’s always called Mama. Her golden hair is growing rapidly, and to pass the time, she watches the snow fall and sings songs from her childhood, hoping someone, anyone, will hear her.

Wyatt needs time to reflect or, better yet, forget about what happened to his best friend, Tyler. That’s why he’s been shipped off to the Adirondacks in the dead of winter to live with the oldest lady in town. Either that, or no one he knows ever wants to see him again.

Dani disappeared seventeen years ago without a trace, but she left behind a journal that’s never been read, not even by her overbearing mother…until now.

A #1 New York Times bestselling author, Alex Flinn knows her fairy tales, and Towering is her most mind-bending interpretation yet. Dark and mysterious, this reimagining of Rapunzel will have readers on the edge of their seats wondering where Alex will take them next!

I feel like this cover is very spellbinding. I like how the girl with the golden, blonde hair and her white dress seem out of place in this winter forest. Also, I love how we can see the tower in the background. Overall, the cover is hauntingly beautiful.

Title: Dance of the Red Death

Author: Bethany Griffin

Expected Release Date: April 23rd 2013

Publisher: Greenwillow Books

Araby Worth’s city is being torn apart by death, disease, and corrupt forces wanting to claim it for their own. She has lost her home. Her best friend is dying. Her mother has been kidnapped. The boy who made her feel something again has betrayed her. And her father may be a murderer.
But Araby has found herself.
Despite the death and destruction all around her, she will fight for herself, for her friends, for her city. Her rebellion will take her, finally, to the mad prince’s palace, for the decadent –and sinister—masked ball. It could be a trap. It could be the end of them all. Or it could be the moment that Araby becomes the kind of hero she never dreamed she could be.
The tragic, dark, and steamy conclusion to Bethany Griffin’s Masque of the Red Death saga

Other Book Covers:

Masque of the Red Death

OK, to be truthful I’m not the biggest fan of either covers. Although, I do prefer the first cover because it looks more intriguing with the red and really catches my attention. The violet definitely screams mystery, but it just isn’t doing it for me.

Title: Unbreakable

Author: Elizabeth Norris

Expected Release Date: April 23rd 2013

Publisher: Balzer + Bray

Four months after Ben disappeared through the portal to his home universe, Janelle believes she’ll never see him again. Her world is still devastated, but life is finally starting to resume some kind of normalcy. Until Interverse Agent Taylor Barclay shows up. But as the clues begin to add up, Janelle realizes that she’s in way over her head—and that she may not have known Ben as well as she thought. Can she uncover the truth before everyone she cares about is killed?

Other Book Covers:

I don’t know about you, but doesn’t Janelle seem a little more hardcore and rugged in the second cover? I’m actually really liking the new cover. Although, I’m not the biggest fan of the people on the front it really works. Also, notice the new people in the second cover? Cannot wait for this one!
