BOOKS WITH A CHARACTER WHO PLAYS A SPORT

Title: Catching Jordan

Autho: Miranda Kenneally

Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire

GOODREADS SUMMARY

What girl doesn’t want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn’t just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that’s just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.

But everything she’s ever worked for is threatened when Ty Greeen moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he’s also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan’s feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart’s on the line?

My Thoughts:

Girls + Football = a disaster, right??? Not so much with Jordan! She’s a chick who can completely demolish the other guys in their own sport: FOOTBALL!! And, this is what makes Catching Jordan so unique & different! But, it’s not just focused on football. Jordan wants to stay true to her tomboy image, but she can’t help letting the more girly side show. And, it was interesting to see Jordan work through that because I consider myself to be more on the tomboyish side too. Plus, the romance!! Wow!! You’ll love it!!! You guys know how picky I am about Contemporaries & Chick Lit, so you know it’s gonna be good when I recommend one! 😀

Great choice. I loved this story, Jordan was a brilliant character. I was tempted to recommend Catching Jordan but I went with the Chicago Stars instead.
